With over twenty years of experience, CT Law Partners is heavily involved in New Market Tax Credits (NMTCs), closing more than 200 transactions. These projects include both Federal and State NMTCs, and some transactions have also involved other government programs like Opportunity Zones, PACE, USDA, tax-exempt bonds, and Historic Tax Credits. About Courtney Tawresey

Courtney has two decades of experience in legal and accounting fields, having spent more than ten years advocating for developers, syndicators, investors, and related organizations in NMTC transactions. She has successfully completed over $5 billion in state and federal tax credit deals and more than 200 NMTC transactions.

Courtney is dedicated to leveraging the NMTC program to generate employment opportunities and deliver essential services to underserved communities. She firmly believes in establishing a balanced approach that addresses the intricacies of the program alongside the business requirements of her clients.

Courtney earned her LLM in Tax from the University of Denver, achieving the highest marks in her cohort. Additionally, she graduated Cum Laude with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame, and also graduated Cum Laude with Distinction in all Subjects with a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University.
